The introduction site initially chooses Korean or English based on your country. A cookie remembers your manual language choice for one year.
Soot keeps learning history on your device. Connecting Google and syncing your history are optional.
Your learning language, settings, answers, progress, and review history are stored on your device. Clearing browser data or changing devices may cause these records to be lost.
When you sign in with Google, the operator stores your account ID, email address, registration date, and most recent sign-in date to manage your membership. This information is kept while needed for member management, and you can request deletion.
Your history and settings are saved to your own Google Drive only when you press Sync. Signing in checks for previous records; only a record you select and confirm is restored. This requires app-specific storage access. Soot does not read your ordinary Drive documents or photos.
You can also use Soot as a guest. New guest history is temporary and may disappear when you close or refresh the app.
The microphone is used when you answer by voice. Your browser or operating system's speech provider may process your audio. Sentence playback uses downloaded recordings. The hosting provider may process ordinary connection information to operate the service.
In Settings, you can reset this device's history and storage or disconnect Google. These actions do not delete history saved in Google or member information stored by the operator.
You can delete individual Google records from the saved records list in the app. You can revoke Soot's access in your Google account and delete app-specific data in Google Drive settings. To request deletion of member information or ask a privacy question, email support@hellosoot.com.
